Metallic Raku Vase 11

$30.00

Handcrafted Crackle raku vase, titled Hope.

This raku collection lives as an artistic expression of the human experience—each vessel is marked with an emotion, one that I was experiencing, pondering or longing for as I created.

I challenged myself then not to hide behind positive emotions or delightful words, but to create in honesty and confidence that after all—feelings are fleeting.

About Metallic Raku Firing

A process of heat, smoke, and alchemy, during Metallic Raku each piece is removed from the kiln while glowing hot and placed into combustible materials that create a reduced-oxygen atmosphere. In the chaos of reduction, metallic lusters emerge—shifting tones of copper, gold, iridescent blue and deep emerald green that vary with each firing.

The result is a surface that shimmers with depth and unpredictability—an honest reflection of transformation and the beauty found in impermanence.

A note on use

Metallic raku fired pieces remain porous and cannot hold water. Best for dry treasures, blooms, or simply as a vessel of presence.
