About Crackle Raku Firing
A process of transformation and contrast, during Crackle raku each piece is removed from the kiln while glowing hot and placed into combustible materials that ignite and smoke. As it cools, fine crackles form across the glaze—traces of its encounter with flame and air.
The result is a surface alive with movement and depth—an honest reflection of beauty found in transformation.
A note on use
Crackle raku fired pieces remain porous and cannot hold water. Best for dry treasures, blooms, or simply as a vessel of presence.
